Students participate in Summit: Christian Life Pre-Orientation program

About Summit

Summit has existed since 1955 to welcome first-year and transfer students into the Christian life at Wake Forest University through hospitality, friendship, and a shared love for Jesus.

By fostering meaningful relationships, engaging in worship, and preparing students for college through practical tools and relational discipleship, Summit creates a strong foundation for students as they begin their college journey at Wake Forest.

Summit Guiding Values:

  • Joy: Celebrating the new chapter in students’ lives with fun, meaningful experience
  • Hospitality: Creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all first-year and transfer students
  • Friendship: Encouraging deep and lasting relationships rooted in faith
  • Spiritual Growth: Providing opportunities for students to meet adults and mentors who will help them deepen their relationship with Jesus during college
  • Community: Connecting students with campus ministries, Christian faculty, and local Christian organizations

While you will get to move in with the other Pre-Orientation programs, Summit takes place at a local camp, so there are all the fun elements of camp too. Swimming, kickball, nine-square, campfires, singing, silly skits, and more!
